Returns policy

1. The return period

The 14-day period runs from the day on which you, or a third party (other than the carrier), acquire physical possession of the product. If the period expires on a non-working day or a public holiday, it is extended until the first working day that follows.

Important: The notice of withdrawal must be sent before the 14 days expire. After that, you have a further 14 calendar days to physically send the product back.

2. How to initiate a return

You can exercise the right of withdrawal by any of the methods below, before the 14-day period expires:

• Directly from “Track order”: Open the Track order page, enter the order ID (you will find it in the confirmation email) and confirm your identity with the code received by email. You will see the products purchased; select the ones you wish to return and choose courier collection or drop-off at an easybox. The return label is generated on the spot and you receive it by email — you do not have to wait for instructions from us.
• Email directly: Send a message to contact@myevcharger.ro with the subject “Contract withdrawal” and state the order number.
• Contact form: Use the Contact page and state the order number and your intention to return.
• The model form: You can use the standard withdrawal form in section 9 below.

If you notify us by email, via the contact form or with the model form, we will confirm receipt of the notice of withdrawal by email within 1–2 working days and send you the return instructions (the shipping address).

Once you have received the return label or our instructions, pack the product (preferably in its original packaging, together with all the accessories and documents included) and hand it to the courier on collection, drop it off at an easybox or send it to the address indicated. Keep the proof of dispatch — it is sufficient to comply with the 14-day period.

3. The cost of the return

The return is free. EURO SAAF S.R.L. bears the cost of return shipping in all cases — both when the right of withdrawal is exercised within the 14-day period and for products that are defective or were delivered in error. You will receive a courier label or the collection instructions after you notify the return. The shipping conditions, for delivery and for returns, are detailed on the Delivery and shipping page.

Chargers already installed: removing and repacking the product are your responsibility and are done at your expense — return shipping remains free. On request, we can carry out the removal for you, for a fee. The removal must be done by an authorised electrician, just like the installation: the charger is connected to a dedicated circuit, with specific protections. Repack the charger as it was delivered, with all the accessories and documents included (see section 5 on diminished value).

4. The refund

We will refund all amounts paid, including the initial delivery costs (except for the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the standard one), within 14 days of the date on which we are informed of the decision to withdraw.

We reserve the right to withhold the refund until we have received the returned product or until we have received proof that the product has been sent back (whichever occurs first). The refund is made using the same payment method used for the order.

5. Condition of the returned product

You are responsible for any diminished value of the product resulting from handling it other than as necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning (similar to what you would do in a physical shop). The product must be returned complete, with all the accessories and documents included.

If the product shows damage caused by use beyond a simple inspection, EURO SAAF S.R.L. may deduct the amount of the diminished value from the sum refunded.

6. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

Under art. 16 of Government Emergency Ordinance (OUG) no. 34/2014, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:

• Products made to the consumer’s specifications or personalised.
• Installation services begun, with the consumer’s explicit consent, before the 14-day period expires and fully completed — in this situation, the right of withdrawal no longer covers the installation service, even though the product (the EV charger) can be returned separately.

7. The statutory guarantee of conformity

The right of withdrawal above and the statutory guarantee of conformity are two different rights. Withdrawal within 14 days requires no reason and applies to a product that is in order; the guarantee covers a product that is not in conformity — defective, incomplete or different from its description.

All products benefit from a statutory guarantee of conformity of at least 2 years from delivery. It remains valid after the 14 days have expired, and transport, parts and labour for the remedy are free of charge. The legal basis and the full conditions are in the Guarantee section of the Terms and conditions; any longer commercial guarantee offered by the manufacturer is in addition to it and does not replace it.

To invoke the guarantee, write to contact@myevcharger.ro with the order number and a description of the defect. Do not use the return form in “Track order” for a defective product after the 14 days — it generates a withdrawal from the contract, not a guarantee claim.

8. Complaints to ANPC

If you consider that your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with ANPC — the National Authority for Consumer Protection at anpc.ro and you can use the Alternative Dispute Resolution (SAL) procedure: reclamatiisal.anpc.ro.
